We are a volunteer-run foundation based in the Netherlands. We pay for school materials and scholarships for children in Lungni, and we are building a health centre for the town.

From study materials to university

In 2021, 500 students received study materials for their BECE exams. Nine of them won scholarships to Senior High School and all nine finished. Three are now at university.

The Lungni Community Health Centre has its foundation and walls up. The ring beam is next, then the roof, finishing and equipment.

The need

Children in Lungni need books, materials and scholarships to stay in school. When someone falls seriously ill, the nearest proper care is far away.

What we do

We give study materials and scholarships to students from Lungni, and we are building the Lungni Community Health Centre. We work with community members and leaders in the Nanumba South District.

What has changed

500 students received BECE study materials. All nine students on our SHS scholarships finished school, and three are now at university. The health centre will serve about 35,000 people.

Stichting Nevalak was founded on 27 July 2020 in the Netherlands. Our Ghana branch, Nevalak Foundation Ghana LBG, was incorporated on 7 December 2025.

From study materials to university scholarships

  • 2021Study materials for 500 students across 7 Junior High Schools in Lungni, ahead of their BECE exams.
  • 2022 to 2024Nine students from that group received three-year Senior High School scholarships. All nine completed SHS.
  • 2025 to nowThree students are at university: Mbenjo Linda (Nursing), Lapon Mayi Isaac (Biological Sciences) and Obed Mamalbe Bitadiku (Engineering).
