On 26 June 2026, James Nana Ofori and Elisha Njomaba had the privilege of representing Nevalak Foundation at the Wilde Ganzen Diaspora Masterclass in Amersfoort, Netherlands: a full day dedicated to Volunteers & Visibility, facilitated by Georgina Kwakye, moderator and founder of Local Changemakers.
Sharing the room with fellow diaspora organisations from across the Netherlands was both humbling and energising. Nevalak came to learn, and left with a sharper plan.
1. Volunteers need a clear structure, not just a call to action.
Know exactly what you need from them, where to find them, and what you are offering in return.
2. Visibility is a weekly discipline.
Starting in July, Nevalak is committing to weekly storytelling on LinkedIn and other social platforms, sharing what is happening on the ground in Lungni, Northern Ghana. The clinic walls are going up, the community is ready, and we want you to see it happen in real time.
3. The diaspora network is a resource in itself.
Connecting with organisations like Stichting Reus and Desse Foundation was a reminder that we are stronger when we share knowledge, strategy, and platforms.
"Nevalak Foundation exists to touch the lives of the needy through education and healthcare. Events like this sharpen how we pursue that mission with more intention, more visibility, and more community behind us."

Thank you to Wilde Ganzen and Georgina Kwakye for creating this space for diaspora organisations to grow together. Watch this space. 👀
