On the 22nd of October 2021, the Nevalak Foundation embarked on our first project. The “Road to B.E.C.E project” (B.E.C.E) is a final examination written at the basic school level before proceeding to High School – We donated study materials such as exercise books, pens, mathematical sets, and sanitary pads to a total of 400 students preparing to write their final examination and their teachers in the Lungni community; a small town located in the Nanumba South District of Northern Region, Ghana.
The schools we visited to embark on these donations include;
Kanjo RC – 24 students and 7 staff
Montanaya – 45 students and 7 staff
Immaculate – 27 students and 7 staff
Morning Star – 60 students and 14 staff
Holy Trinity – 50 students and 9 staff
Lungni DA JHS A – 67 students and 9 staff
Lungni DA JHS B – 57 students and 9 staff
Our team also took it upon ourselves to engage with the students to advise them on the essence of the project and the importance of education in the community as well as the country at large. These words boosted the confidence of the students and we expect an improvement in the overall performance of these students. The Nevalak foundation will continue to follow the progress of these students after the examination. We want to use this opportunity to thank everyone who supported this project in either cash or kind. We also call on the public who are interested in supporting the Nevalak Foundation to embark on our upcoming projects to visit our websites in order to donate towards our course. Stay tuned for upcoming projects. Thank you!
Acquisition of Backfiets by Spectrum in collaboration with Nevalak Foundation
In the year 2021, Nevalak Foundation partnered with Spectrum Wageningen to raise funds to support our mission and vision. Spectrum acquired a Bakfiet to help raise funds for Nevalak Foundation. Students in Wageningen University & Research who use the Bakfiets as means of transporting their items, give some little donations to spectrum which is given to Nevalak to support the foundation’s activities. Spectrum is also ready to provide other forms of support to the Foundation. Nevalak is grateful to Spectrum for this partnership and we are always glad to continue to work with Spectrum Wageningen to achieve our aims.
Donation of Health Equipment in Luncni Clinic to residents of Lungni
It was a beautiful time in Lungni, Northern Ghana as the Nevalak Foundation managed to put smiles on the faces of people in the community.
In December 2021, when a team of representatives from the Nevalak Foundation and friends from the Netherlands visited the community to assess the condition of the people, a major problem we identified was in the area of Health care delivery.
Nevalak, therefore, decided to embark on – “The Good He Health, Good life Project” to provide medical equipment to the main clinic in Lungni.
This clinic provides medical care for about 7 surrounding villages in Lungni and serves about 1500 residents. The project is in 3 phases.
On the 25th of February, the first phase was executed by donating some medical equipment to the facility. The community and leaders received the items and are grateful. We are looking forward to executing the remaining two phases of the project. Your support is humbly welcome.
